The development of a conceptual prototype for an exclusive network of neighbourhood stores across Lisbon, Estoril and Cascais began with the challenge of reconciling a shared identity with the individuality of each space. Rather than adopting a standardised model, the architectural approach sought to respond to the specific characteristics of each location, making the most of its spatial configuration, urban context and natural light. In this way, each store expresses its own identity whilst maintaining a coherent architectural language in keeping with the brand’s overall concept and a natural relationship with its surroundings.
Beyond spatial organisation, each store was conceived to offer a welcoming experience, defined by attention to detail and a sense of discovery. The bespoke decorative lighting, designed exclusively by Tsuri Studio, contributes to the identity of each space, creating distinct atmospheres and interplay of light. Fúlvio’s illustrations and visual narratives bring personality and sensitivity to the overall concept, introducing an artistic dimension that reinforces the project’s urban character and invites visitors to explore the space.
[Materiality and Sensory Fusion]
The interior design narrative is rooted in a balanced fusion of the memory of traditional Lisbon bakeries and the understated character of industrial aesthetics. Timber shelving introduces an organic sense of warmth, contrasting with the solidity and elegance of marble counters.
Traditional Portuguese tiles evoke the local architectural heritage, whilst copper stands out as an expressive feature, enhancing both the infrastructure and display areas. Corten steel completes the composition, adding texture, depth and a distinctive material quality shaped by the passage of time.
